1953 The company was founded as Compagnie Cherifienne des Transports Aériens. The name Royal Air Maroc was adopted after independence. The company began flying international routes in 1957 from Casablanca. By the end of the 70s, RAMaroc was flying to Europe, North America, the Middle East, and North Africa. RAM continued to expand in the 1980s. New routes opened, frequencies increased and new aircraft were introduced. The expansion of Casablanca Mohammed V airport provided RAM a modern base. |
